Slave Species of god.

Over the last fifty years of non-fiction publishing, certain books have grown from obscurity to achieve a worldwide popularity through the sheer impact, plausibility and originality of the ideas that they contain. 'Slave Species of God' by Michael Tellinger is looking set to join those titles, as it challenges the beliefs about who we are and where we come from in a plausible yet compelling way. Questioning creationism and Darwinism, whilst taking the reader on a remarkable odyssey, drawing clear and startling analogies between new discoveries in genetic engineering and information captured on ancient artifacts. Tellinger uses scientific discovery previously ignored and links biblical stories to their original forms recorded on Sumerian clay tablets while supporting this all with captivating illustrations. Within a dense yet convincing text, the reader is never lost as the sense of each chapter and theory is related to the previous, keeping the information flowing with ease and the reader constantly engaged. The arguments are compelling and clearly presented in an engaging easy-to-read style, as we discover that our DNA may have been manipulated at the point of our human creation some 200,000 years ago, to provide our maker with a less intelligent, therefore more servile species. Challenging accepted wisdom and using the most recent research as support for his theories, Michael Tellinger treads very much his own path, yet follows in the footsteps of authors like Erich Von Daniken and Graham Hancock. Already embraced by book buyers from both the USA and South Africa where it has become a bestseller. 'Slave Species of God’ is published at a time when the book buying public has found its interest and appetite for titles like 'Da Vinci Code' dealing with some of the biggest issues facing us all. Ultimately Tellinger attempts to provide clear and grounded answers as to why the chaos, in which the modern world has become enveloped, is closely related to the secrets of ancient history.

I don't know if you believe in Jesus. I hope you do...

Nothing will change while people still hold on to the God of the Old Testament either. It is full of war and killing so a nation that lives by those laws can be nothing but brutes to begin with. Here are some examples of why Jesus had to come to teach us how to live.

NT God: "For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone" (James 1:13)
OT God: "[He] tempted Abraham" (Gen. 22:1)

NT God: "God is love." (1 John 4:16)
OT God: "Kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man" (Num. 31:17)

NT God: "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me." (Mark 9:37)
OT God: "Put to death men and women, children and infants" (1 Sam. 15:2-3)

NT God: "Love does no harm to its neighbor" (Rom. 13:10)
OT God: "He totally destroyed all who breathed, just as the Lord, the God of Israel, had commanded." (Josh. 10:40)

NT God: "[The devil] was a murderer from the beginning." (John 8:44)
OT God: "Slaughter old men, young men and maidens, women and children" (Ezek. 9:6)

NT God: "Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:
OT God: "Like a lion I will devour them." (Hosea 13:

NT God: "Anyone who does not love his brother [is of the devil]." (1 John 3:10)
OT God: "Go back and forth killing your brother and friend and neighbor" (Exod. 32:27)

NT God: "[The devil] is a liar and the father of lies." (John 8:44)
OT God: "Put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours." (1 Kings 22:23)

NT God: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy." (John 10:10)
OT God: "Pursue, kill and completely destroy them." (Jer. 50:21)

NT God: "He who does what is sinful is of the devil" (1 John 3:
OT God: "Do not leave alive anything that breathes" (Deut. 20:16)

NT God: "God so loved the world.." (John 3:16)
OT God: "I will wipe humankind ..from the face of the earth." (Gen. 6:7)

NT God: "Love your enemies" (Luke 6:27-2
OT God: "Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them." (Num. 25:16-17)

1Sam. 16:14; "But the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit form the Lord troubled him."

Judges 9:23 is also a good one; "God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech. It is obvious to me that this was not the God of Love and Light that did this thing. There is no where that I could find where Jesus sent any evil spirits into anyone; he used his powers to cast them out. Seven were cast out of Mary of Magdala; I am certain that 7 has more meaning than just a number; it is the number meaning perfection I believe.

I have a friend that sends me all these e-mails with little sayings and thoughts about the good life.

He sent me a PowerPoint presentation about the CV of Jesus. I sent him one back on the CV of Muhammad. (Just to stir a bit) I post the e-mail here for you to read.

Chapter 1

God supported His last Prophet Muhammad with many miracles and much evidence which proved that he is a true Prophet sent by God. Also, God supported His last revealed book, the Holy Quran, with many miracles that prove that this Quran is the literal word of God, revealed by Him, and that it was not authored by any human being. This chapter discusses some of this evidence.

(1) The Scientific Miracles
in the Holy Quran

The Quran is the literal word of God, which He revealed to His Prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel. It was memorized by Muhammad , who then dictated it to his Companions. They, in turn, memorized it, wrote it down, and reviewed it with the Prophet Muhammad . Moreover, the Prophet Muhammad reviewed the Quran with the Angel Gabriel once each year and twice in the last year of his life. From the time the Quran was revealed, until this day, there has always been a huge number of Muslims who have memorized all of the Quran, letter by letter. Some of them have even been able to memorize all of the Quran by the age of ten. Not one letter of the Quran has been changed over the centuries.

The Quran, which was revealed fourteen centuries ago, mentioned facts only recently discovered or proven by scientists. This proves without doubt that the Quran must be the literal word of God, revealed by Him to the Prophet Muhammad , and that the Quran was not authored by Muhammad or by any other human being. This also proves that Muhammad is truly a prophet sent by God. It is beyond reason that anyone fourteen hundred years ago would have known these facts discovered or proven only recently with advanced equipment and sophisticated scientific methods.

(2) The Great Challenge to Produce
One Chapter Like the Chapters
of the Holy Quran
God has said in the Quran:

And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed (the Quran) to Our worshiper (Muhammad ), then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides God if you are truthful. And if you do not do it, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones. It has been prepared for disbelievers. And give good news (O Muhammad) to those who believe and do good deeds, that for them are gardens (Paradise) in which rivers flow.... (Quran, 2:23-25)

Ever since the Quran was revealed, fourteen centuries ago, no one has been able to produce a single chapter like the chapters of the Quran in their beauty, eloquence, splendor, wise legislation, true information, true prophecy, and other perfect attributes. Also, note that the smallest chapter in the Quran (Chapter 108) is only ten words, yet no one has ever been able to meet this challenge, then or today.1 Some of the disbelieving Arabs who were enemies of the Prophet Muhammad tried to meet this challenge to prove that Muhammad was not a true prophet, but they failed to do so.2 This failure was despite the fact that the Quran was revealed in their own language and dialect and that the Arabs at the time of Muhammad were a very eloquent people who used to compose beautiful and excellent poetry, still read and appreciated today.

The smallest chapter in the Holy Quran (Chapter 108) is only ten words, yet no one has ever been able to meet the challenge to produce one chapter like the chapters of the Holy Quran.

(3) Biblical Prophecies on the Advent of
Muhammad , the Prophet of Islam
The Biblical prophecies on the advent of the Prophet Muhammad are evidence of the truth of Islam for people who believe in the Bible.

In Deuteronomy 18, Moses stated that God told him: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy 18:18-19).1

From these verses we conclude that the prophet in this prophecy must have the following three characteristics:

1) That he will be like Moses.

2) That he will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites.

3) That God will put His words in to the mouth of this prophet and that he will declare what God commands him.

Let us examine these three characteristics in more depth:

1) A prophet like Moses:
There were hardly any two prophets who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad . Both were given a comprehensive law and code of life. Both encountered their enemies and were victorious in miraculous ways. Both were accepted as prophets and statesmen. Both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies between Moses and Jesus overlook not only the above similarities but other crucial ones as well. These include the natural birth, the family life, and death of Moses and Muhammad but not of Jesus. Moreover Jesus was regarded by his followers as the Son of God and not exclusively as a prophet of God, as Moses and Muhammad were and as Muslims believe Jesus was. So, this prophecy refers to the Prophet Muhammad and not to Jesus, because Muhammad is more like Moses than Jesus.

Also, one notices from the Gospel of John that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of three distinct prophecies. The first was the coming of Christ. The second was the coming of Elijah. The third was the coming of the Prophet. This is obvious from the three questions that were posed to John the Baptist: “Now this was John’s testimony, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.” (John 1:19-21). If we look in a Bible with cross-references, we will find in the marginal notes where the words “the Prophet” occur in John 1:21, that these words refer to the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:15 and 18:18.2 We conclude from this that Jesus Christ is not the prophet mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18.

2) From the brothers of the Israelites:
Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac (Genesis 21). Ishmael became the grandfather of the Arab nation, and Isaac became the grandfather of the Jewish nation. The prophet spoken of was not to come from among the Jews themselves, but from among their brothers, i.e. the Ishmaelites. Muhammad , a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet.

Also, Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law. “He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.” (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to Genesis 25:13, Kedar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad .

3) God will put His words in the mouth of this prophet:
The words of God (the Holy Quran) were truly put into Muhammad’s mouth. God sent the Angel Gabriel to teach Muhammad the exact words of God (the Holy Quran) and asked him to dictate them to the people as he heard them. The words are therefore not his own. They did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the Angel Gabriel. During the life time of Muhammad , and under his supervision, these words were then memorized and written by his companions.

Also, this prophecy in Deuteronomy mentioned that this prophet will speak the words of God in the name of God. If we looked to the Holy Quran, we will find that all its chapters, except Chapter 9, are preceded or begin with the phrase, “In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”

Another indication (other than the prophecy in Deuteronomy) is that Isaiah ties the messenger connected with Kedar with a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sung to the Lord (Isaiah 42:10-11). This is mentioned more clearly in the prophecy of Isaiah: “and another tongue, will he speak to this people” (Isaiah 28:11 KJV). Another related point, is that the Quran was revealed in sections over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28 which speaks of the same thing, “For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there.” (Isaiah 28:10).

Note that God has said in the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18, “If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy, 18:19). This means that whoever believes in the Bible must believe in what this prophet says, and this prophet is the Prophet Muhammad .

(4) The Verses in the Quran That Mention Future Events Which Later Came to Pass
One example of the events foretold in the Quran is the victory of the Romans over the Persians within three to nine years after the Romans were defeated by the Persians. God has said in the Quran:

The Romans have been defeated in the nearest land (to the Arabian Peninsula), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious within bedd’ (three to nine) years.... (Quran, 30:2-4)

Let us see what history tells us about these wars. A book entitled History of the Byzantine State says that the Roman army was badly defeated at Antioch in 613, and as a result, the Persians swiftly pushed forward on all fronts.1 At that time, it was hard to imagine that the Romans would defeat the Persians, but the Quran foretold that the Romans would be victorious within three to nine years. In 622, nine years after the Romans’ defeat, the two forces (Romans and Persians) met on Armenian soil, and the result was the decisive victory of the Romans over the Persians, for the first time after the Romans’ defeat in 613.2 The prophecy was fulfilled just as God has said in the Quran.

There are also many other verses in the Quran and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad that mention future events which later came to pass.

(5) Miracles Performed by
the Prophet Muhammad
Many miracles were performed by the Prophet Muhammad by God’s permission. These miracles were witnessed by many people. For example:

n When the unbelievers in Makkah asked the Prophet Muhammad to show them a miracle, he showed them the splitting of the moon.1

n Another miracle was the flowing of water through Muhammad’s fingers when his companions got thirsty and had no water except a little in a vessel. They came to him and told him that they had no water to make ablution nor to drink except for what was in the vessel. So, Muhammad put his hand in the vessel, and the water started gushing out between his fingers. So, they drank and made ablution. They were one thousand five hundred companions.2

There were also many other miracles that were performed by him or which happened to him.

(6) The Simple Life of Muhammad
If we compare the life of Muhammad before his mission as a prophet and his life after he began his mission as a prophet, we will conclude that it is beyond reason to think that Muhammad was a false prophet, who claimed prophethood to attain material gains, greatness, glory, or power.

Before his mission as a prophet, Muhammad had no financial worries. As a successful and reputed merchant, Muhammad drew a satisfactory and comfortable income. After his mission as a prophet and because of it, he became worse off materially. To clarify this more, let us browse the following sayings on his life:

n Aa’isha, Muhammad’s wife, said, “O my nephew, we would sight three new moons in two months without lighting a fire (to cook a meal) in the Prophet’s houses.” Her nephew asked, “O Aunt, what sustained you?” She said, “The two black things, dates and water, but the Prophet had some Ansar neighbors who had milk-giving she-camels and they used to send the Prophet some of its milk.”1

n Sahl Ibn Sa’ad, one of Muhammad’s companions, said, “The Prophet of God did not see bread made from fine flour from the time God sent him (as a prophet) until he died.”2

n Aa’isha, Muhammad’s wife, said, “The mattress of the Prophet , on which he slept, was made of leather stuffed with the fiber of the date-palm tree.”3

n Amr Ibn Al-Hareth, one of Muhammad’s companions, said that when the Prophet died, he left neither money nor anything else except his white riding mule, his arms, and a piece of land which he left to charity.4

Muhammad lived this hard life till he died although the Muslim treasury was at his disposal, the greater part of the Arabian Peninsula was Muslim before he died, and the Muslims were victorious after eighteen years of his mission.

Is it possible that Muhammad might have claimed prophethood in order to attain status, greatness, and power? The desire to enjoy status and power is usually associated with good food, fancy clothing, monumental palaces, colorful guards, and indisputable authority. Do any of these indicators apply to Muhammad ? A few glimpses of his life that may help answer this question follow.

Despite his responsibilities as a prophet, a teacher, a statesman, and a judge, Muhammad used to milk his goat,5 mend his clothes, repair his shoes,6 help with the household work,7 and visit poor people when they got sick.8 He also helped his companions in digging a trench by moving sand with them.9 His life was an amazing model of simplicity and humbleness.

Muhammad’s followers loved him, respected him, and trusted him to an amazing extent. Yet he continued to emphasize that deification should be directed to God and not to him personally. Anas, one of Muhammad’s companions, said that there was no person whom they loved more than the Prophet Muhammad , yet when he came to them, they did not stand up for him because he hated their standing up for him,10 as other people do with their great people.

Long before there was any prospect of success for Islam and at the outset of a long and painful era of torture, suffering, and persecution of Muhammad and his followers, he received an interesting offer. An envoy of the pagan leaders, Otba, came to him saying, “...If you want money, we will collect enough money for you so that you will be the richest one of us. If you want leadership, we will take you as our leader and never decide on any matter without your approval. If you want a kingdom, we will crown you king over us...” Only one concession was required from Muhammad in return for that, to give up calling people to Islam and worshipping God alone without any partner. Wouldn’t this offer be tempting to one pursuing worldly benefit? Was Muhammad hesitant when the offer was made? Did he turn it down as a bargaining strategy leaving the door open for a better offer? The following was his answer: {In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful} And he recited to Otba the verses of the Quran 41:1-38.11 The Following are some of these verses:

A revelation from (God), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful; a Book whereof the verses are explained in detail; a Quran in Arabic, for people who know, giving good news and warning, yet most of them turn away, so they do not listen. (Quran, 41:2-4)

On another occasion and in response to his uncle’s plea to stop calling people to Islam, Muhammad’s answer was as decisive and sincere: {I swear by the name of God, O Uncle!, that if they place the sun in my right-hand and the moon in my left-hand in return for giving up this matter (calling people to Islam), I will never desist until either God makes it triumph or I perish defending it.}12

Muhammad and his few followers did not only suffer from persecution for thirteen years but the unbelievers even tried to kill Muhammad several times. On one occasion they attempted to kill him by dropping a large boulder, which could barely be lifted, on his head.13 Another time they tried to kill him by poisoning his food.14 What could justify such a life of suffering and sacrifice even after he was fully triumphant over his adversaries? What could explain the humbleness and nobility which he demonstrated in his most glorious moments when he insisted that success is due only to God’s help and not to his own genius? Are these the characteristics of a power-hungry or a self-centered man?

(7) The Phenomenal Growth of Islam
At the end of this chapter, it may be appropriate to point out an important indication of the truth of Islam. It is well known that in the USA and the whole world, Islam is the fastest-growing religion. The following are some observations on this phenomenon:

n “Islam is the fastest-growing religion in America, a guide and pillar of stability for many of our people...” (Hillary Rodham Clinton, Los Angeles Times).1

n “Moslems are the world’s fastest-growing group...” (The Population Reference Bureau, USA Today).2

n “....Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the country.” (Geraldine Baum; Newsday Religion Writer, Newsday).3

n “Islam, the fastest-growing religion in the United States...” (Ari L. Goldman, New York Times).4

This phenomenon indicates that Islam is truly a religion from God. It is unreasonable to think that so many Americans and people from different countries have converted to Islam without careful consideration and deep contemplation before concluding that Islam is true. These converts have come from different countries, classes, races, and walks of life. They include scientists, professors, philosophers, journalists, politicians, actors, and athletes. (To read the stories of people who have converted to Islam, please visit the links at Stories of New Muslims.)

The points mentioned in this chapter constitute only some of the evidence supporting the belief that the Quran is the literal word of God, that Muhammad is truly a prophet sent by God, and that Islam is truly a religion from God.

Hi Nick

Can it maybe be that the Muslims are right and the Christians are wrong? I hope you do not one day die and get to the other side at the gates of heaven and have God tell you that you made a serious misjudgment and sends you straight to hell just because you used another “medium” to serve Him?

I sent this to you because – what is the ultimate TRUTH?

THE TRUTH.

Who is right and who is wrong? Who is judging and who will be judged?

You see my entire life I have been questioning everything and anything. I do not live in fear, and the last thing I want to do is “BELIEVE”

I WANT TO KNOW!!

So I would ask very prominent questions to my Sunday school teacher and our pastor about the Bible that does not make sense and that even little children question today - and once he or she was put in a tight spot or a corner he/she would come at me with fear in the eyes and say……. BUT YOU MUST HAVE FAITH MY SON!!

Promiscuous women may become nuns to feign reform, while obsessive men may enter religion due to some stimulus or excitement. This is why the “schools of clear purity” are always hotbeds for promiscuous and perverted people: Back to Beginnings- Huanchu Daoren

I am sorry buddy but this fairytale stuff is just a bit much for me. I am too intelligent to just blindly believe what was pushed down my throat as a child.

If you ask me if I “Believe” in God I will have to tell you NO. I with all my years of soul searching now “KNOW” God. And it is the most amazing experience to just live life in the NOW. Because NOW is all we have. That is where God is and always will be.

NO tomorrow

NO yesterday

NO future

NO past

NO today

Just every moment and the conscious choices we make within that moment that will determine the next moment and ultimately the way our lives turn out for the better or worse.

We are right now being and moving in eternity because we are part of the observer, the play, the stage, As the bible says and I quote. God within us and us within God.

Or as Shakespeare said…….. The world is a stage and we are all but actors upon it.

Hope you have a magic day and don’t forget to smell the flowers and enjoy the sun on your back somewhere during your busy day and thank God for that moment of pure bliss.

As always in love

Mike

Hi Mike

Sorry, but you contradicted yourself quite a bit here Mike. If we only have Today "where God Is and within us and we in Him" as you said, why is there no Today?

Where in the Bible did you find that quotation that states; "God within us and we in God"?

If the Bible talks about Moses and the future prophets, as sent in the previous e-mail regarding Mohammad's C.V, and you do see some reality there, why then not believing in the Bible Mike.

I would rather believe in God and find at the end that he did not exist than Not believing in God and with shock to find at the end that he does exist.

If there was nothing in the beginning, how then did everything come into being. If every cell in our body has such an advanced code and memory, and modern society and science is only discovering it now but still over their heads, who created it?

You know Mike. I rather believe and be happy than trying to fight, doubt or even trying to prove religion wrong. I was created after the beginning and I am part of it all. If we cannot accept to be part of it all, we are lost!! Where are we then?

Just my view but we are still the greatest pals.

Regards

Nico

"If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you." - Jesus

Hi Nick

I would like to reply to your last e-mail and then I am going to let it rest. I will break it down per answer and or question so as to put your mind at ease as to what I am really saying.

The same way the bible can be taken up in many different ways. My grandfather showed me in the bible that long hair was a sin and that Apartheid was justified. (Get my drift?)

Question you asked.

Sorry, but you contradicted yourself quite a bit here Mike. If we only have Today "where God is and within us and we in Him" as you said, why is there no Today?

If you read further down in the e-mail you will see that I said all we have is NOW (the moment) Think about it? The only place you can really be at any time is in the present moment. Breath by breath. Life is a happening – not an event.

Question

Where in the Bible did you find that quotation that states; "God within us and we in God"?

I will give you two versions out of two different bibles. I also have the Gospel of Judas that was recently discovered and the churches made such a HUGE NOISE ABOUT attached as a file for you to read.

The Coming of the Kingdom of God
Luke 17 (New International Version)
20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within[b] you."

Luke 17:21 (King James Version)
21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

I also found it in Psalms

Psalm 46 (New International Version)
For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A song. [a]
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
Selah

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Selah

8 Come and see the works of the LORD,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear,
he burns the shields [b] with fire.

10 "Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."

11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Selah

Question

If the Bible talks about Moses and the future prophets, as sent in the previous e-mail regarding Mohammad's C.V, and you do see some reality there, why then not believing in the Bible Mike.

You must remember the bible was written by human beings. If you care to do research and study facts and history then you will notice that it took the Catholic Church 800 years to edit the New Testament alone.

Some bibles have entire books missing some bibles have changed the wording, some bibles say and interpret things differently etc. etc. (Very confusing if one does not just stay submissive and “BELIEVE BLINDLY”)

As I asked you… who is right and who is wrong? Christians (about 2000 different splintered sects) Muslims? Buddhism?

What about the people that died before Jesus roamed the earth? Are they now in hell? Jesus said.. NO man can get into the kingdom of heaven but through me.

In the last 60 years about 550000 clay tablets were uncovered in Iraq and all over the world. The story of Genesis is told in these clay tablets and the story told in the Bible is actually a very watered down version of the clay tablets. These clay tablets are about 2000 years older than Genesis.

Please look up the word Apocrypha you can press (control +enter on the blue links below and see what the church has left in and or out of the REAL BIBLE) and it will take you to this website. Do some research and open your mind and grow. The day we stop learning is the day we die.

Blind faith to me is a copout because it is FEAR driven. The church did a very good job on you to keep you submissive. You are more intelligent that that. This kind of behaviour is the same that the National Party used to control us and stay in power for 48 years. Remember the “Rooi Gevaar” the “Swart Gevaar” etc.

Please spend some time to work through the links below and learn about the MORE-truths.

Christianity and Islam originate from Moses. He was the father of both faiths. (Once again who is right and who is wrong. Who is going to heaven and who is going to burn for ever?)

The Apocrypha

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apocrypha means 'hidden things' in Greek. The Apocryphical books of the Bible fall into two categories: texts which were included in some canonical version of the Bible at some point, and other texts of a Biblical nature which have never been canonical.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deuterocanonical Apocrypha
The Deuterocanonical Books of the Bible These are books which are included in some version of the canonical Bible, but which have been excluded at one time or another, for textual or doctrinal issues. These are called 'Deuterocanonical', which literally means 'the secondary canon.'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other Apocrypha
These are other apocryphal texts which never made it into any official canon, which nevertheless shed light on the Bible and its history.

The Forgotten Books of Eden [1926]
This is a collection of pseudepigrapha, specifically:

The First Book of Adam and Eve
The Second Book of Adam and Eve
The Book of the Secrets of Enoch
The Psalms of Solomon
The Odes of Solomon
The Letter of Aristeas
Fourth Book of Maccabees
The Story of Ahikar
The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs
Testament of Reuben
Testament of Simeon
Testament of Levi
The Testament of Judah
The Testament of Issachar
The Testament of Zebulun
The Testament of Dan
The Testament of Naphtali
The Testament Of Gad
The Testament of Asher
The Testament of Joseph
The Testament of Benjamin

The Biblical Antiquities of Philo
translated by M. R. James [1917]
An alternative pseudepigraphal narrative of the Hebrew Bible from Gensis through 1 Samuel, written in the first century C.E.

The Gospel of Thomas
These are reputedly the writings of the apostle 'Doubting Thomas'. This text purports to be a collection of the sayings of Jesus. Traditionally Thomas was Jesus' twin brother. This text shows strong Gnostic influence.

The Sibylline Oracles The Sibylline books were oracular Roman scrolls. These are the pseudo-Sibylline Oracles. The reason they are cross-referenced here is because they have many similarities to early Christian writings, and they were quoted by the Church Fathers.

The Book of Enoch Translated by R.H. Charles [1917]
This is an etext of a critical edition of the Book of Enoch. Enoch introduced such concepts as fallen Angels, the Messiah, the Resurrection, and others.

The Book of Jubilees Translated by R.H. Charles [1917]
The Book of Jubilees is a text from the 2nd century B.C.E. which covers much of the same ground as Genesis, with some interesting additional details. It may have been an intermediate form of Gensis which was incorporated into later versions.

The Book of Jasher

Excerpts from the Gospel of Mary
This fragment, of disputed authenticity, puts the relationship between Mary Magdalen, Jesus and the Apostles in a radically different perspective than traditional beliefs.

The real work surrounding these books began with Flavius Valerius Constantinus – 272 - 337 AD, commonly known as Constantine the Great, he became known as the first 'Christian Emperor' of the Roman empire and began the Empire's unofficial sponsoring of Christianity, which was a major factor in the survival and spread of the religion. He founded the city of Constantinople (Istanbul) as the new capital of the Eastern Empire which became the home of Christianity, filled with large numbers of churches and temples. He also proclaimed that Sunday would be the day of worship.

The First Council of Nicaea, which was called by Constantine in 325 AD, was the first ecumenical (worldwide) conference of bishops of the Christian Church. The participating bishops were given free travel and lodging. The council, which was also called a synod, dealt with the problems created by the Aryan controversy, concerning the nature and status of Jesus. The Aryans had their own views of who Jesus really was. We must remember that Jesus spent most of his growing life, since the age of 12 or 13 in the East, under the influence of several eastern religious philosophies and Aryanism was just one of them. Finally the Synod decided against the Aryans and voted in favour of Trinitarianism, which suddenly made Jesus part of the Father and the Holy Spirit. This was a whole new twist to the New Testament and the Holy Trinity was born. Another outcome of the council was an agreement by the bishops of all the Churches, to celebrate Easter on the same day. Is that not a little strange?

These were the wild and wonderful early days of Christianity, when most of its foundations were laid. The editing of the Bible's New Testament began to take shape, but it would take another 800 years before the final version was decided upon. This long process is filled with controversy because many books were omitted while others were amended before they were included. It was during this period that one of the first recorded references to the Catholic Church emerged. This Catholic denomination of Christianity continued to expand into what it has become today. The largest and most powerful wing of the Christian Church.

Question / or rather a statement?

I would rather believe in God and find at the end that he did not exist than Not believing in God and with shock to find at the end that he does exist.

Nick…. this is exactly my point that I raised with you in the first place. Read my e-mail again. I said to you very clearly. I do not ‘BELIEVE” in God. I ‘KNOW’ God. That means that I have a very personal and intimate and wonderful relationship with God. Right now whilst I am alive and living. I am not believing because I might one day be sorry. I am beyond Man made religion and fear. God is very real to me and I have miacles happening to me on a daily basis. God does exist. Definitely. Science is today discovering things within Quantum Physics that the Ancient Chinese have known about for the last 3000 years? Explain that? The ancient clay teablets that have been discovered talk about using water as energy? Energy is in aundance in the universe. Why must we pay for it on earth? Do you pay for the power of the sun? They talk about some of the planets that spin around the sun that we only re-discovered about 200 years ago? Explain that to me?

The day you re-discover the real God without the fear and not the God of the church or the God in the bible your life will take on a new meaning.

Please go and get a DVD called “What the bleep do we know” Try to buy it and watch it about 10 times. You will get a better understanding of my direction of my thoughts.

Question

If there was nothing in the beginning, how then did everything come into being. If every cell in our body has such an advanced code and memory, and modern society and science is only discovering it now but still

over their heads, who created it?

This entire universe is an illusion. Let me explain. Everything is in opposites in the world. One cannot have a battery without a positive and a negative. You should know because of your business regarding your Easy Link. Good is not at war with evil (As the church would have us believe) It is one and the same system. Light and darkness. Look up at the skies tonight and what is in between the one star and the other star. Nothing!! Is there more nothing in the sky (darkness) or matter? (Stars)

Where do your thoughts come from? FROM NOTHING. Nothing is where God is. In that silent empty space. All ideas, thoughts, songs, you, (Your dad and mom THOUGHT lets have sex and you were conceived)

God is nowhere.

God is now here.

Question / Statement

You know Mike. I rather believe and be happy than trying to fight, doubt or even trying to prove religion wrong. I was created after the beginning and I am part of it all. If we cannot accept to be part of it all, we are lost!! Where are we then?

Nick – everything we fight in this world weakens us. Everything we are for empowers us. If we are fighting a war against drugs it weakens us. If we are for an enlightened youth it will empower us. You should know this as you have kids.

If we fight the Muslims (America or Christians) it weakens us. In the end who is the winner?. America is on a daily basis creating a million more Osama Bin Ladens. And even we are affected here in South Africa. America will never win the war on Terrorism.

The only way you win a war like that is to make your enemy your friend.

If we fight against evil and darkness…….. Blah, blah blah, or if we are for peace, love, light (which is what I am for)

I am not trying to prove religion wrong or doubting it. I am beyond man made religion. There is enough evidence out there to prove it wrong anyway.

We will never be lost as one cannot kill energy. We are already part of the greater cosmos, (GOD)

We are everything. We are the observers and we are born again and again and evrythime we move into finer and finer vibrations of energy until one day – maybe millions of years from now we are in such a fine vibration of energy that we can join God. Then we will become tired of being God and start the entire “Play” all over again.

The universe is cyclic and goes round and round and is never ending.

Man made Religion is linear and has a beginning and an end?? Duh HELLO??!!

I think after 78696958867699400354098098409380984045 Tillion Years in heaven one day I will be pretty much VERY BORED with all the Gold on the roads, my harp, ONLY happiness, ONLY goodness, Halo’s etc.

Life and Death.

Lieh-Tzu left his home in Cheng and journeyed to the kingdom of Wei. While walking down a dusty road, he saw the remains of a skull lying by the wayside. Lieh-Tzu saw that it was the skull of a human that was over a hundred years old. He picked up the bone, brushed the dirt off it, and looked at it for a while. Finally, he put the skull down, sighed, and said to his student who was standing nearby, “In this world, only you and I understand life and death.” Turning to the skull he said, “Are you unfortunate to be dead and we fortunate to be alive? Maybe it is you who are fortunate and we who are unfortunate!”

Lieh-Tzu then said to his student, “Many people sweat and toil and feel satisfied that they have accomplished many things. However, in the end we are not all that different from this polished piece of bone. In a hundred years, everyone we know will just be a pile of bones. What is there to gain in life, and what is there to lose in death?”

The ancients knew that life cannot go on forever, and death is not the end of everything. Therefore, they are not excited by the event of life nor depressed by the occurrence of death. Birth and death are part of the natural cycle of things. Only those who can see through the illusions of life and death can be renewed with heaven and earth and age with the sun, moon, and stars.

If this world was a perfect place, where would souls go to school.

Statement

Just my view but we are still the greatest pals.

There is nothing wrong with your opinion and or views or my opinion or views, as long as we do not try to impose it on others and or have the believe that we are right and others are wrong. I sent you the thoughts on Muhammad because I wanted to just be the Devil’s advocate. (not in a blblical sense) In other words throw a spanner in the works. I have known christians to get on their high horse very quickly. (Smile)

Nick you are beyond my “Pal” you are truly a brother to me and my best friend and I love you more than you will ever know. That is all that matters to me. And it is OK for us to have different opinions. I will never let anything come between us, not even religion.

As always

Dear Friends,

Herewith two direct translations from Greek scrolls that were found in the 1800’s and what Jesus actually said to his disciples.

Please take the time to read it and compare it with the text in your personal bible and see how the Church has taken the living word out of context to suit themselves and instill fear, control and keep people in the darkness. By the way it took the Catholic Church 800 years to edit the New Testament!

Let go of your fear and let your divine light shine for others to see. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU.

Please do not try to be a Christian…… Try to live your life Christ like.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.....You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world....We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us......it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others. THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS

Translations by: Thomas O. Lambdin (Coptic version)
B.P Grenfell & A.S. Hunt (Greek Fragments)
Bentley Layton (Greek Fragments)
Commentary by: Craig Schenk

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I: Commentary

The Gospel of Thomas is a collection of traditional Sayings
(logoi) of Jesus. It is attributed to Didymos Judas Thomas, the
"Doubting Thomas" of the canonical Gospels, and according to many
early traditions, the twin brother of Jesus ("didymos" means
"twin" in Greek).
We have two versions of the Gospel of Thomas today. The
first was discovered in the late 1800's among the Oxyrhynchus
Papyri, and consists of fragments of a Greek version, which has
been dated to c. 200. The second is a complete version, in
Coptic, from Codex II of the Nag Hammadi finds. Thomas was
probably first written in Greek (or possibly even Syriac or
Aramaic) sometime between the mid 1st and 2nd centuries.
There has been much speculation on the relationship of
Thomas to the canonical Gospels. Many Sayings in Thomas have
parallels with the New Testament Sayings, especially those found
in the synoptic Gospels. This leads many to believe that Thomas
was also based on the so-called "Q" Document, along with Matthew,
Luke, and Mark. Indeed, some have speculated that Thomas may in
fact be "Q". Unlike the synoptic Gospels, and like "Q", the
Gospel of Thomas has no narrative connecting the various Sayings.
In form, it is simply a list of 114 Sayings, in no particular
order. Comparison with New Testament parallels show that Thomas
contains either more primitive versions of the Sayings, or
developments of more primitive versions. Either way, Thomas seems
to preserve earlier traditions about Jesus than the New
Testament.
Although it is not possible to attribute the Gospel of
Thomas to any particular sect, it is clearly Gnostic in nature.
As the preamble indicates, these are "secret sayings", and are
intended to be esoteric in nature. The Sayings are not intended
to be interpreted literally, as their New Testament parallels
often are, but to be interpreted symbolically, as attested by
Saying #1. While a literal interpretation may make sense, only by
understanding the deeper meanings of the Sayings can one truly
understand them. Thus in Saying #114, it is to be understood that
"male" symbolizes the pneumatic (spiritual, or Gnostic)
Christians, and "female" symbolizes the psychic (unenlightened,
or orthodox) Christians, rather than actually referring to males
and females. Keep in mind that true understanding of this text
was meant to come from PERSONAL contact with the Divine,
inspiration from within.
I will now present translations of both the Greek and Coptic
versions of the Gospel of Thomas. Of the 114 Sayings in the
complete work, and all of the fragments of the Greek text.
Also, the Greek version contains one Saying not found in the Coptic
version, which comes between Sayings 32 and 33 of the Coptic
version. I will enter the Coptic version first, as it is more
complete, followed by the Greek version. After both translations,
I've provided a listing of New Testament parallels for all 114
sayings for easier comparison.
Note that for the Coptic version, I use the standard NHL
translation, except for saying 70, where I have substituted the
translation found in Elaine Pagels' "The Gnostic Gospels", as it
seems a better translation.
Peace & Enlightenment be yours!

IA: Editorial Symbols

I have followed the Nag Hammadi Library standard for
typographical symbols in this file. Text contained within [square
brackets] indicates a damaged portion of the manuscript where the
translators have attempted a reconstruction. Text within
(parentheses) indicates comments or text added by the translator
for clarification purposes. Text within pointed brackets
indicates a scribal error (spelling, grammatical, etc) in the
original, where the translator has made a correction. Text within
{funky brackets} indicates superfluous text added by the scribe.

II: Coptic Gospel of Thomas

P) These are the secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke
and which Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.

1) And He said, "Whoever finds the interpretation of these
sayings will not experience death."

2) Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he
finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes
troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

3) Jesus said, "If those who lead you say, 'See, the Kingdom is
in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they
say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you.
Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you.
When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and
you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living
Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty
and it is you who are that poverty."

4) Jesus said, "The man old in days will not hesitate to ask a
small child seven days old about the place of life, and he will
live. For many who are first will become last, and they will
become one and the same."

5) Jesus said, "Recognize what is in your sight, and that which
is hidden from you will become plain to you. For there is nothing
hidden which will not become manifest."

6) His disciples questioned Him and said to Him, "Do you want
us to fast? How shall we pray? Shall we give alms? What diet
shall we observe?"
Jesus said, "Do not tell lies, and do not do what you hate,
for all things are plain in the sight of Heaven. For nothing
hidden will not become manifest, and nothing covered will remain
without being uncovered."

7) Jesus said, "Blessed is the lion which becomes man when
consumed by man; and cursed is the man whom the lion consumes,
and the lion becomes man."

8) And He said, "The Kingdom is like a wise fisherman who cast
His net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of small fish.
Among them the wise fisherman found a fine large fish. He threw
all the small fish back into the sea and chose the large fish
without difficulty. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."

9) Jesus said, "Now the sower went out, took a handful (of
seeds), and scattered them. Some fell on the road; the birds came
and gathered them up. Others fell on the rock, did not take root
in the soil, and did not produce ears. And others fell on thorns;
they choked the seed(s) and worms ate them. And others fell on
the good soil and produced good fruit: it bore sixty per measure
and a hundred and twenty per measure."

10) Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and see, I am
guarding it until it blazes."

11) Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above
it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will
not die. In the days when you consumed what is dead, you made it
what is alive. When you come to dwell in the light, what will you
do? On the day when you were one you became two. But when you
become two, what will you do?"

12) The disciples said to Jesus, "We know that You will depart
from us. Who is to be our leader?"
Jesus said to them, "Wherever you are, you are to go to
James the righteous, for whose sake heaven and earth came into
being."

13) Jesus said to His disciples, "Compare me to someone and tell
Me whom I am like."
Simon Peter said to Him, "You are like a righteous angel."
Matthew said to Him, "You are like a wise philosopher."
Thomas said to Him, "Master, my mouth is wholly incapable of
saying whom You are like."
Jesus said, "I am not your master. Because you have drunk,
you have become intoxicated by the bubbling spring which I have
measured out."
And He took him and withdrew and told him three things. When
Thomas returned to his companions, they asked him, "What did
Jesus say to you?"
Thomas said to them, "If I tell you one of the things which
he told me, you will pick up stones and throw them at me; a fire
will come out of the stones and burn you up."

14) Jesus said to them, "If you fast, you will give rise to sin
for yourselves; and if you pray, you will be condemned; and if
you give alms, you will do harm to your spirits. When you go into
any land and walk about in the districts, if they receive you,
eat what they will set before you, and heal the sick among them.
For what goes into your mouth will not defile you, but that which
issues from your mouth - it is that which will defile you."

15) Jesus said, "When you see one who was not born of woman,
prostrate yourselves on your faces and worship him. That one is
your Father."

16) Jesus said, "Men think, perhaps, that it is peace which I
have come to cast upon the world. They do not know that it is
dissension which I have come to cast upon the earth: fire, sword,
and war. For there will be five in a house: three will be against
two, and two against three, the father against the son, and the
son against the father. And they will stand solitary."

17) Jesus said, "I shall give you what no eye has seen and what
no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never
occurred to the human mind."

18) The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us how our end will be."
Jesus said, "Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that
you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the
end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning;
he will know the end and will not experience death."

19) Jesus said, "Blessed is he who came into being before he
came into being. If you become My disciples and listen to My
words, these stones will minister to you. For there are five
trees for you in Paradise which remain undisturbed summer and
winter and whose leaves do not fall. Whoever becomes acquainted
with them will not experience death."

20) The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us what the Kingdom of
Heaven is like."
He said to them, "It is like a mustard seed, the smallest of
all seeds. But when it falls on tilled soil, it produces a great
plant and becomes a shelter for birds of the sky."

21) Mary said to Jesus, "Whom are Your disciples like?"
He said, "They are like children who have settled in a field
which is not theirs. When the owners of the field come, they will
say, 'Let us have back our field.' They (will) undress in their
presence in order to let them have back their field and give it
back to them. Therefore I say to you, if the owner of a house
knows that the thief is coming, he will begin his vigil before he
comes and will not let him into his house of his domain to carry
away his goods. You, then, be on your guard against the world.
Arm yourselves with great strength lest the robbers find a way to
come to you, for the difficulty which you expect will (surely)
materialize. Let there be among you a man of understanding. When
the grain ripened, he came quickly with his sickle in his hand
and reaped it. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."

22) Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to His disciples,
"These infants being suckled are like those who enter the
Kingdom."
They said to Him, "Shall we then, as children, enter the
Kingdom?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one, and when you
make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside,
and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the
female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the
female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye,
and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and
a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter [the
Kingdom]."

23) Jesus said, "I shall choose you, one out of a thousand, and
two out of ten thousand, and they shall stand as a single one."

24) His disciples said to Him, "Show us the place where You are,
since it is necessary for us to seek it."
He said to them, "Whoever has ears, let him hear. There is
light within a man of light, and he (or "it") lights up the whole
world. If he (or "it") does not shine, he (or "it") is darkness."

25) Jesus said, "Love your brother like your soul, guard him
like the pupil of your eye."

26) Jesus said, "You see the mote in your brothers eye, but you
do not see the beam in your own eye. When you cast the beam out
of your own eye, then you will see clearly to cast the mote from
your brother's eye."

27) Jesus said, "If you do not fast as regards the world, you
will not find the Kingdom. If you do not observe the Sabbath as a
Sabbath, you will not see the Father."

28) Jesus said, "I took my place in the midst of the world, and
I appeared to them in the flesh. I found all of them intoxicated;
I found none of them thirsty. And My soul became afflicted for
the sons of men, because they are blind in their hearts and do
not have sight; for empty they came into the world, and empty too
they seek to leave the world. But for the moment they are
intoxicated. When they shake off their wine, then they will
repent."

29) Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit,
it is a wonder. But if spirit came into being because of the
body, it is a wonder of wonders. Indeed, I am amazed at how this
great wealth has made its home in this poverty."

30) Jesus said, "Where there are three gods, they are gods.
Where there are two or one, I am with him."

31) Jesus said, "No prophet is accepted in his own village; no
physician heals those who know him."
32) Jesus said, "A city being built on a high mountain and
fortified cannot fall, nor can it be hidden."

33) Jesus said, "Preach from your housetops that which you will
hear in your ear {(and) in the other ear}. For no one lights a
lamp and puts it under a bushel, nor does he put it in a hidden
place, but rather he sets it on a lampstand so that everyone who
enters and leaves will see its light."

34) Jesus said, "If a blind man leads a blind man, they will
both fall into a pit."

35) Jesus said, "It is not possible for anyone to enter the
house of a strong man and take it by force unless he binds his
hands; then he will (be able to) ransack his house."

36) Jesus said, "Do not be concerned from morning until evening
and from evening until morning about what you will wear."

37) His disciples said, "When will You become revealed to us and
when shall we see You?"
Jesus said, "When you disrobe without being ashamed and take
up your garments and place them under your feet like little
children and tread on them, then [will you see] the Son of the
Living One, and you will not be afraid"

38) Jesus said, "Many times have you desired to hear these words
which I am saying to you, and you have no one else to hear them
from. There will be days when you look for Me and will not find
Me."

39) Jesus said, "The Pharisees and the scribes have taken the
keys of Knowledge and hidden them. They themselves have not
entered, nor have they allowed to enter those who wish to. You,
however, be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves."

40) Jesus said, "A grapevine has been planted outside of the
Father, but being unsound, it will be pulled up by its roots and
destroyed."

41) Jesus said, "Whoever has something in his hand will receive
more, and whoever has nothing will be deprived of even the little
he has."

42) Jesus said, "Become passers-by."

43) His disciples said to him, "Who are You, that You should say
these things to us?"
Jesus said to them, "You do not realize who I am from what
I say to you, but you have become like the Jews, for they
(either) love the tree and hate its fruit or love the fruit and
hate the tree."

44) Jesus said, "Whoever blasphemes against the Father will be
forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the Son will be
forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not
be forgiven either on earth or in heaven."

45) Jesus said, "Grapes are not harvested from thorns, nor are
figs gathered from thistles, for they do not produce fruit. A
good man brings forth good from his storehouse; an evil man
brings forth evil things from his evil storehouse, which is in
his heart, and says evil things. For out of the abundance of the
heart he brings forth evil things."

46) Jesus said, "Among those born of women, from Adam until John
the Baptist, there is no one so superior to John the Baptist that
his eyes should not be lowered (before him). Yet I have said
whichever one of you comes to be a child will be acquainted with
the Kingdom and will become superior to John."

47) Jesus said, "It is impossible for a man to mount two horses
or to stretch two bows. And it is impossible for a servant to
serve two masters; otherwise he will honor the one and treat the
other contemptuously. No man drinks old wine and immediately
desires to drink new wine. And new wine is not put into old
wineskins, lest they burst; nor is old wine put into a new
wineskin, lest it spoil it. An old patch is not sewn onto a new
garment, because a tear would result."

48) Jesus said, "If two make peace with each other in this one
house, they will say to the mountain, 'Move Away,' and it will
move away."

49) Jesus said, "Blessed are the solitary and elect, for you
will find the Kingdom. For you are from it, and to it you will
return."

50) Jesus said, "If they say to you, 'Where did you come from?',
say to them, 'We came from the light, the place where the light
came into being on its own accord and established [itself] and
became manifest through their image.' If they say to you, 'Is it
you?', say, 'We are its children, we are the elect of the Living
Father.' If they ask you, 'What is the sign of your father in
you?', say to them, 'It is movement and repose.'"

51) His disciples said to Him, "When will the repose of the dead
come about, and when will the new world come?"
He said to them, "What you look forward to has already come,
but you do not recognize it."

52) His disciples said to Him, "Twenty-four prophets spoke in
Israel, and all of them spoke in You."
He said to them, "You have omitted the one living in your
presence and have spoken (only) of the dead."

53) His disciples said to Him, "Is circumcision beneficial or
not?"
He said to them, "If it were beneficial, their father would
beget them already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the
true circumcision in spirit has become completely profitable."

54) Jesus said, "Blessed are the poor, for yours is the Kingdom
of Heaven."

55) Jesus said, "Whoever does not hate his father and his mother
cannot become a disciple to Me. And whoever does not hate his
brothers and sisters and take up his cross in My way will not be
worthy of Me."

56) Jesus said, "Whoever has come to understand the world has
found (only) a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse is superior
to the world."

57) Jesus said, "The Kingdom of the Father is like a man who had
[good] seed. His enemy came by night and sowed weeds among the
good seed. The man did not allow them to pull up the weeds; he
said to them, 'I am afraid that you will go intending to pull up
the weeds and pull up the wheat along with them.' For on the day
of the harvest the weeds will be plainly visible, and they will
be pulled up and burned."

58) Jesus said, "Blessed is the man who has suffered and found
life."

59) Jesus said, "Take heed of the Living One while you are
alive, lest you die and seek to see Him and be unable to do so."

60) They saw a Samaritan carrying a lamb on his way to Judea.
He said to his disciples, "(Why does) that man (carry) the lamb
around?"
They said to him, "So that he may kill it and eat it."
He said to them, "While it is alive, he will not eat it, but
only when he has killed it and it has become a corpse."
They said to him, "He cannot do so otherwise."
He said to them, "You too, look for a place for yourself
within the Repose, lest you become a corpse and be eaten."

61) Jesus said, "Two will rest on a bed: the one will die, and
other will live."
Salome said to him, "Who are You, man, that You, as though
from the One, have come up on my couch and eaten from my table?"
Jesus said to her, "I am He who exists from the Undivided. I
was given some of the things of my Father."
Salome said, "I am Your disciple."
Jesus said to her, "Therefore I say, if he is undivided,
he will be filled with light, but if he is divided, he will be
filled with darkness."

62) Jesus said, "It is to those [who are worthy of My] mysteries
that I tell My mysteries. Do not let your left hand know what
your right hand is doing."
63) Jesus said, "There was a rich man who had much money. He
said, 'I shall put my money to use so that I may sow, reap,
plant, and fill my storehouse with produce, with the result that
I shall lack nothing. Such were his intentions, but that same
night he died. Let him who has ears hear."

64) Jesus said, "A man had received visitors. And when he had
prepared the dinner, he sent his servant to invite guests. He
went to the first one and said to him, "My master invites you.'
He said, 'I have claims against some merchants. They are coming
to me this evening. I must go and give them my orders. I ask to
be excused from the dinner.' He went to another and said, 'My
master has invited you.' He said to him, 'I have just bought a
house and am required for the day. I shall not have any spare
time.' He went to another and said to him, 'My master invites
you.' He said to him, 'My friend is going to get married, and I
am to prepare the banquet. I shall not be able to come. I ask to
be excused from the dinner.' He went to another and said to him,
'My master invites you.' He said to him, 'I have just bought a
farm, and I am on my way to collect the rent. I shall not be able
to come. I ask to be excused.' The servant returned and said to
his master, 'Those whom you invited to the dinner have asked to
be excused.' The master said to his servant, 'Go outside to the
streets and bring back those whom you happen to meet, so that
they may dine.' Businessmen and merchants will not enter the
Places of My Father."

65) He said, "There was a good man who owned a vineyard. He
leased it to tenant farmers so that they might work it and he
might collect the produce from them. He sent his servant so that
the tenants might give him the produce of the vineyard. They
seized his servant and beat him, all but killing him. The servant
went back and told his master. The master said, 'Perhaps they
did not recognize him.' He sent another servant. The tenants
beat this one as well. Then the owner sent his son and said,
'Perhaps they will show respect to my son.' Because the tenants
knew that it was he who was the heir to the vineyard, they seized
him and killed him. Let him who has ears hear."

66) Jesus said, "Show me the stone which the builders have
rejected. That one is the cornerstone."

67) Jesus said, "Whoever believes that the All itself is
deficient is (himself) completely deficient."

68) Jesus said, "Blessed are you when you are hated and
persecuted. Wherever you have been persecuted they will find no
Place."

69) Jesus said, "Blessed are they who have been persecuted
within themselves. It is they who have truly come to know the
Father. Blessed are the hungry, for the belly of him who desires
will be filled."

70) Jesus said, "If you bring forth what is within you, what you
bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is
within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

71) Jesus said, "I shall destroy [this] house, and no one will
be able to rebuild it."

72) [A man said] to Him, "Tell my brothers to divide my father's
possessions with me."
He said to him, "O man, who has made Me a divider?"
He turned to His disciples and said to them, "I am not a
divider, am I?"

73) Jesus said, "The harvest is great but the laborers are few.
Beseech the Lord, therefore, to send out laborers to the
harvest."

74) He said, "O Lord, there are many around the drinking trough,
but there is nothing in the cistern."

75) Jesus said, "Many are standing at the door, but it is the
solitary who will enter the bridal chamber."

76) Jesus said, "The kingdom of the Father is like a merchant
who had a consignment of merchandise and who discovered a pearl.
That merchant was shrewd. He sold the merchandise and bought the
pearl alone for himself. You too, seek his unfailing and enduring
treasure where no moth comes near to devour and no worm
destroys."

77) Jesus said, "It is I who am the light which is above them
all. It is I who am the All. From Me did the All come forth, and
unto Me did the All extend. Split a piece of wood, and I am
there. Lift up the stone, and you will find Me there."

78) Jesus said, "Why have you come out into the desert? To see a
reed shaken by the wind? And to see a man clothed in fine
garments like your kings and your great men? Upon them are the
fine [garments], and they are unable to discern the truth."

79) A woman from the crowd said to Him, "Blessed are the womb
which bore You and the breasts which nourished You."
He said to her, "Blessed are those who have heard the word
of the Father and have truly kept it. For there will be days when
you will say, 'Blessed are the womb which has not conceived and
the breasts which have not given milk.'"

80) Jesus said, "He who has recognized the world has found the
body, but he who has found the body is superior to the world."

81) Jesus said, "Let him who has grown rich be king, and let him
who possesses power renounce it."

82) Jesus said, "He who is near Me is near the fire, and he who
is far from Me is far from the Kingdom."

83) Jesus said, "The images are manifest to man, but the light
in them remains concealed in the image of the light of the
Father. He will become manifest, but his image will remain
concealed by his light."

84) Jesus said, "When you see your likeness, you rejoice. But
when you see your images which came into being before you, and
which neither die not become manifest, how much you will have to
bear!"

85) Jesus said, "Adam came into being from a great power and a
great wealth, but he did not become worthy of you. For had he
been worthy, [he would] not [have experienced] death."

86) Jesus said, "[The foxes have their holes] and the birds have
[their] nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head
and rest."

87) Jesus said, "Wretched is the body that is dependant upon a
body, and wretched is the soul that is dependent on these two."

88) Jesus said, "The angels and the prophets will come to you
and give you those things you (already) have. And you too, give
them those things which you have, and say to yourselves, 'When
will they come and take what is theirs?'"

89) Jesus said, "Why do you wash the outside of the cup? Do you
not realize that he who made he inside is the same one who made
the outside?"

90) Jesus said, "Come unto me, for My yoke is easy and My
lordship is mild, and you will find repose for yourselves."

91) They said to Him, "Tell us who You are so that we may
believe in You."
He said to them, "You read the face of the sky and of the
earth, but you have not recognized the one who is before you, and
you do not know how to read this moment."

92) Jesus said, "Seek and you will find. Yet, what you asked Me
about in former times and which I did not tell you then, now I do
desire to tell, but you do not enquire after it."

93) Jesus said, "Do not give what is holy to dogs, lest they
throw them on the dung-heap. Do not throw the pearls to swine,
lest they grind it [to bits]."

94) Jesus [said], "He who seeks will find, and [he who knocks]
will be let in."

95) [Jesus said,] "If you have money, do not lend it at
interest, but give [it] to one from whom you will not get it
back."

96) Jesus [said], "The Kingdom of the Father is like a certain
woman. She took a little leaven, [concealed] it in some dough,
and made it into large loaves. Let him who has ears hear."

97) Jesus said, "The Kingdom of the [Father] is like a certain
woman who was carrying a jar full of meal. While she was walking
[on] a road, still some distance from home, the handle of the jar
broke and the meal emptied out behind her on the road. She did
not realize it; she had noticed no accident. When she reached her
house, she set the jar down and found it empty."

98) Jesus said, "The Kingdom of the Father is like a certain man
who wanted to kill a powerful man. In his own house he drew his
sword and stuck it into the wall in order to find out whether his
hand could carry through. Then he slew the powerful man."

99) The disciples said to Him, "Your brothers and Your mother
are standing outside."
He said to them, "Those here who do the will of My Father
are My brothers and My mother. It is they who will enter the
Kingdom of My Father."

100) They showed Jesus a gold coin and said to Him, "Caesar's men
demand taxes from us."
He said to them, "Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, give
God what belongs to God, and give Me what is Mine."

101) Jesus said, "Whoever does not hate his father and his
mother as I do cannot become a disciple to Me. And whoever does
[not] love his father and his mother as I do cannot become a
[disciple] to Me. For My mother [gave me falsehood], but [My]
true [Mother] gave me life."

102) Jesus said, "Woe to the Pharisees, for they are like a dog
sleeping in the manger of oxen, for neither does he eat nor does
he let the oxen eat."

103) Jesus said, "Fortunate is the man who knows where the
brigands will enter, so that he may get up, muster his domain,
and arm himself before they invade."

104) They said [to Jesus], "Come, let us pray today and let us
fast."
Jesus said, "What is the sin that I have committed, or
wherein have I been defeated? But when the bridegroom leaves the
bridal chamber, then let them fast and pray."

105) Jesus said, "He who knows the father and the mother will be
called the son of a harlot."

106) Jesus said, "When you make the two one, you will become the
sons of man, and when you say, 'Mountain, move away,' it will
move away."

107) Jesus said, "The Kingdom is like a shepherd who had a
hundred sheep. One of them, the largest, went astray. He left the
ninety-nine sheep and looked for that one until he found it. When
he had gone to such trouble, he said to the sheep, 'I care for
you more than the ninety-nine.'"

108) Jesus said, "He who will drink from my mouth will become
like Me. I myself shall become he, and the things that are hidden
will become revealed to him."

109) Jesus said, "The Kingdom is like a man who had a [hidden]
treasure in his field without knowing it. And [after] he died, he
left it to his son. The son did not know (about the treasure). He
inherited the field and sold [it]. And the one who bought it went
plowing and found the treasure. He began to lend money at
interest to whomever he wished."

110) Jesus said, "Whoever finds the world and becomes rich, let
him renounce the world."

111) Jesus said, "The heavens and the earth will be rolled up in
your presence. And one who lives from the Living One will not see
death." Does not Jesus say, "Whoever finds himself is superior to
the world?"

112) Jesus said, "Woe to the flesh that depends on the soul; woe
to the soul that depends on the flesh."

113) His disciples said to Him, "When will the Kingdom come?"
Jesus said, "It will not come by waiting for it. It will
not be a matter of saying 'Here it is' or 'There it is.' Rather,
the Kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men
do not see it."

114) Simon Peter said to Him, "Let Mary leave us, for women are
not worthy of Life."
Jesus said, "I myself shall lead her in order to make her
male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you
males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the
Kingdom of Heaven."

III: Fragments of Greek Gospel of Thomas

Several fragments of a Greek version of Thomas were found
among the Oxyrhynchys Papyri in the late 19th century. These
fragments consist of the preamble, and sayings 1-6, 26-28, 30-32,
36-38, and 39, as well as a saying not found in the Coptic
version, which follows 32. These fragments are found on
Oxyrhynchus Papyri 1, 654, and 655. Generally, the sayings are
essentially the same in both versions. However, the equivalent of
saying 30 adds the end of the Coptic version's saying 77.
The translation used here is a combination of thranslations
by B.P. Grenfell and A.S. Hunt and Bentley Layton.

P) These are the secret sayings which were spoken by Jesus the
Living One, and which Judas, who is called Thomas, wrote down"

1) He said to them: "Whoever hears these words shall never taste
death."

2) [Jesus said]: "Let him who seeks not cease until he finds,
and when he finds he shall wonder; wondering he shall reign,
and reigning shall rest."

3) Jesus said, "If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is
in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they
say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will
precede you. Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is
outside of you. [Those who] become acquainted with [themselves]
will find it; [and when you] become acquainted with yourselves, [you
will understand that] it is you who are the sons of the living
Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty
and it is you who are that poverty."

4) Jesus said: "Let the old man who is full of days not
hesitate to ask the child of seven days about the place of life;
then he will live. For many that are first will be last, and
last, first, and they will become a single one."

5) Jesus said: "Recognize what is before your face and that
which is hidden from the you will be revealed to you. For there is
nothing hidden which shall not be made manifest, nor buried which
shall not be raised."

6) His disciples asked him and said to him, "How do you want us
to fast? And how shall we pray? And how [shall we] give alms? And
what kind of diet shall we follow?"
Jesus said, "Do not lie, and do not do what you hate, for all
things are disclosed before truth. For there is nothing hidden
which shall not be shown forth."

27) Jesus said: "Unless you fast to the world, you shall in no
way find the Kingdom of God; and unless you sabbatize the
Sabbath, you shall not see the Father."

28) Jesus said: "I stood in the midst of the world, and in the
flesh I was seen by them, and I found all drunken, and I found
none among them thirsty. And my soul grieved over the souls of men,
because they are blind in their heart and see not. [...]

30/77) Jesus said: "Where there are [two, they are not] without
God, and when there is one alone, [I say,] I am with him. Raise
the stone, and there you will find me; cleave the wood, and there
I am."

31) Jesus said: "A prophet is not acceptable in his own country,
neither does a physician work cures upon those that know him."

32) Jesus said: "A city built on the top of a high hill and
fortified can neither fall nor be hid."

--) Jesus said: "Thou hearest with one ear, [but the other thou
has closed].

36) Jesus said, "Do not worry from dawn to dusk and from dusk to
dawn about [what food] you [will] eat, [or] what [clothing] you
will wear. [You are much] better than the [lilies], which [neither]
card nor spin. And for your part, what [will you wear] when you
have no clothing? Who would add to your stature? It is he who
will give you your clothing.

37) His disciples said to him, "When will you be visible to us,
and when shall we behold you?"
He said, "When you strip naked without being ashamed, and
take your garments and put them under your feet like little
children and tread upon them, then you will see the child of the
Living, and you will not be afraid."

IV: Canonical Comparisons of Thomas Sayings

I have grouped the sayings in the Gospel of Thomas into 5
categories. Sayings that are variants of or close parallels to
canonical passages (22 of these), sayings that appear more
remotely parallel or similar in some way (28), sayings which
contain parts parallel to several unconnected passages (13),
sayings parallel to non-canonical traditions of Jesus (only 1 of
these), and those with no apparent parallels (50!!).
Due to space limitations, I have decided only to cite
passages, and you can go through and compare them using any
Bible. I haven't attempted to make any comparisons to the

Thanks for all of that. I have already got most of this info though. Mike you must realise by now that I am not a mainstream Christian. You only need to 'read' my blog to realise that. I agree that Mohamed was a prophet. Jesus was the Son of
God though. I will send you a diagram that will prove it to you. You will understand where I am coming from when you read my book one day. Don't know when I will publish though - it still needs a lot of work.

I do not believe that the crucifixion was to clear our sins. The entire life and teaching of Jesus was supposed to be the focus and not the death and resurrection. Jesus said that what he did we could do too. Did you know that? We are supposed to be working towards immortality! Not like the Christian church tries to tell as that we should be working towards passivity. The Romans have corrupted the whole mission.

I will be posting more for you to read soon. Just kind of bogged down at present.

I will hereby show that Jesus taught immortality - physical immortality!

II: Coptic Gospel of Thomas

P) These are the secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke
and which Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.

1) And He said, "Whoever finds the interpretation of these
sayings will not experience death."

If you can understand the teachings you will know how to become physically immortal

2) Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he
finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes
troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

Troubled - you will be troubled because it is vastly different from what we have believed so far.

Astonished - because the truth has been there all along and yet we did not see it.

Rule over all - Revelations 20:4 - I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Alchemy of the soul - during the process of becoming an immortal you travel to the depth of the earth (like Jesus did after the crucifixion) see forbidden letters. http://www.world-mysteries.com/PhilipGardiner/forbidden_letters.htm

The kingdom of heaven is inside you. It is the light body that starts growing when you assimilate your female half with your male half.
When you experience in third dimension (human flesh form) your soul sparks splits in half - male and female. One half remains in higher frequency [As is Above] while one half spirals in third dimension (earth) [So is Below]. If you are female, your partner above is male and vice versa. The third dimension is often referred to as 'In The Box'. When your polarities merge, your male and female aspects will move 'Out of the Box' igniting and creating union with your Twin Flame or Twin Aspect. http://www.crystalinks.com/index.html

Blessed is the man who becomes an immortal through the assimilation of the twin spirits and who is consumed by the will of God and walks in the light because he will be a whole light spirit living in an eternal immortal body.

But cursed is the spirit of the man who becomes immortal by being consumed in the desires of the flesh and chooses the path darkness through immortality. During the process of becoming immortal you will gain power beyond your wildest dreams. During this time you are free to chose how you will be applying this power. Good or Evil. Spirit or flesh.

Others fell on the rock, did not take root
in the soil, and did not produce ears. And others fell on thorns;
they choked the seed(s) and worms ate them. And others fell on
the good soil and produced good fruit: it bore sixty per measure
and a hundred and twenty per measure."

10) Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and see, I am
guarding it until it blazes."

The message is like fire. It either destroys or it purifies. The choice is yours.

We pre-existed with God in a whole Spirit which is the Father. Our Fathers are the Sons of God. When the one became two the Father separated male and female. One to be born in the flesh and one to remain in heaven. Effectively one spirit begat a "child" by separating itself. Like cloning. So we each have a Father in heaven who is in spirit One with God. So Jesus was One with His Father in heaven. Therefore a fully fledged Son of God. Jesus said that what he did we could do to. Requirement - faith the size of a mustard seed. Following the Ten Commandments. Living in love for all.

Jesus no doubt told him that:

- he was a fully fledged Son of God.
- he was One with the Father
- what he did all humans could do.
This would have been like blasphemy in those days and they surely would have stoned him to death for saying it. Even if it was the truth.

There is no dietary criteria. Moslems and Buddhists have the wrong idea regarding this issue. Proof that Mohamed and Buddha were prophets not Sons of God. If they were they would have risen after they died. If they were they would not have abstained from meat. If they were they would have told their followers because physical immortal in spirit of truth cannot lie.

15) Jesus said, "When you see one who was not born of woman,
prostrate yourselves on your faces and worship him. That one is
your Father."

WE aught to love and honour our neighbour's spirit as we love and honour our own sprit because it is believed that our Fathers in heaven are One with God in spirit - Holy Spirit.. This is where first the pagans and later the Christians (although with only half understanding) came to understand the Trinity. Because in Spirit the Father the Son and the holy Sprit is God and is One.
Jesus brought the Spirit as a helper to aid us in our transformation. From a corruptible flesh to a incorruptible immortal physical glorified body.

How hard is the path really? Imagine your son refusing to go to school and partake in the world. Imagine your dad giving up his job and refuse to carry the mark of the beast (which we all have that buy and sell) and sit in meditation all day long conversing with his Father in heaven. Imagine all of them refusing food and drink (they will be tended to by angels). These people will be considered 'fools' and 'cult followers' branded as 'idiots' and 'lunatics' that is why Jesus said he brings division.

7) Jesus said, "I shall give you what no eye has seen and what
no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never
occurred to the human mind."

Immortality !

18) The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us how our end will be."
Jesus said, "Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that
you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the
end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning;
he will know the end and will not experience death."

We begin as half a soul and end as a full one - simple really. Find out therefore first how you began and then you will know how you may end.

The path consists of five different levels. Actually 7 because we already know of two so there are five that are still undiscovered.

1 tree of knowledge of good and evil
7 tree of eternal life
Figure out (live through) 2 - 6 and you are immortal….

20) The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us what the Kingdom of
Heaven is like."
He said to them, "It is like a mustard seed, the smallest of
all seeds. But when it falls on tilled soil, it produces a great
plant and becomes a shelter for birds of the sky."

When you receive the Holy Spirit (for real okay not like some people believe they have it when in actual fact they don’t) the eternal light body starts growing inside you. It is the size of a mustard seed and will only grow with the right 'food'

We live here on earth in corruptible flesh bodies. When the earth claims it back we die. You can only go through the process of 'rebirth' into the eternal light body while you are in the flesh. It is only borrowed from the earth though and if you do not grow the light body you have to give it back and come again.

Jesus said that those who are first will be last. The Christians and the Jews think they are first. They will be last. The Holy Spirit (Holy Grail) finds you, you do not find the Holy Grail (but all will be immortal eventually) initially only those who are just and good now will be chosen first. Immortality will one day be a reality for all. How do you know if you are chosen? You hear these words and you understand them and you implement them. You will not be able to resist. These are the "parfait" the perfect ones.

Alchemy = base metal into gold.
Alchemy of the soul = flesh into immortal. It is believed that those who fetch the gold can dish it out. In every soul group there will be one who will "fetch the gold" and dish it out to all in his group.

Allegory - die to the world live eternal immortal life. Observing the Sabbath means to find rest from the world. Open to more interpretation here not sure if this is the truth.

28) Jesus said, "I took my place in the midst of the world, and
I appeared to them in the flesh. I found all of them intoxicated;
I found none of them thirsty. And My soul became afflicted for
the sons of men, because they are blind in their hearts and do
not have sight; for empty they came into the world, and empty too
they seek to leave the world. But for the moment they are
intoxicated. When they shake off their wine, then they will
repent."

Referring to 'awakening of the spirit.

48) Jesus said, "If two make peace with each other in this one
house, they will say to the mountain, 'Move Away,' and it will
move away."

When two spirit halves meet and become one in an eternal physical glorified body nothing will be impossible. The one who does this will be a god. Total control over nature and the elements of nature and the physical world. Whatever you should want you would need only think of it and it will become manifest.

49) Jesus said, "Blessed are the solitary and elect, for you
will find the Kingdom. For you are from it, and to it you will
return."
